Sunshine Association conducted a Casual Day Awareness and Fundraising event for the first time at the Maponya Mall, Soweto on 6 August 2011.

The aim was to raise awareness about Sunshine Association and its services as well as to sell Casual Day stickers. The Casual Day project is managed by The National Council for Persons with Physical Disabilities. Our organisation participates via the infrastructure of this project to raise funds for the services we render towards persons with disabilities.

Junior Siphiwe Vuma is a five-year-old boy with cerebral palsy. Junior started at the Soweto Sunshine Association Early Intervention Centre in January 2010.
Information from his parents, observation and a formal assessment by our team of therapists showed that Junior was not able to talk properly,
